Adding Build Configurations

The following instructions are for adding a build configuration in the Releases view.

To add a build configuration:

1. In the Releases view Explorer window, click the New Build Configuration icon for the type of build configuration you want to add. The new build configuration is added, and its properties display in the Properties window with default values.
   
   

   	Product Build Configuration/RPM Build Configuration (Premier Only)
   	MSI Build Configuration (Premier Only)
   	Assembly Build Configuration/RPM Assembly Build Configuration (Premier Only)

2. The name of the new build configuration as it displays in the interface can be edited immediately. Type the new name and press Enter. Its name automatically becomes the Output Directory property value in the Properties window. This property represents the name of the directory to which the built project will be saved, and can be changed at any time. For Assembly Build Configurations and RPM Assembly Build Configurations, it is recommended that this property be left set at its default value.
3. Set the properties of the new build configuration:
   
   • Product Build Configuration properties
   • MSI Build Configuration properties (Premier Only)
   • RPM Build Configuration properties (Premier Only)
   • Assembly Build Configuration properties (Premier Only)
   • RPM Assembly Build Configuration properties (Premier Only)
