InstallShield 11 Universal
The General Information view in Installation Information contains the introductory information about your company and the application(s) to be installed. Some of the information here is for your reference only, and some is for setting the basic properties of your project. For example, the Version property is used to determine whether this installation is a patch or update to a previously installed Universal product, while the Company Name property displays in the Welcome dialog at the beginning of the installation. This is also where you set up the Product Uninstaller and determine whether to include an Uninstaller Launcher. In RPM Installer projects (Premier Only), there are additional properties that apply only to RPM.
Whenever you create a new project, these properties are set to default values. Therefore, you should change the values of the General Information properties at the beginning of your work so that the project reflects data specific to the needs of the product(s) to be installed at the beginning of the project's development.
