Patching Dynamic Suites

After a Universal Dynamic Suite has been deployed, you can create a patch to it by following the instructions below:

Procedures

To patch a Dynamic Suite:

  1. Follow the steps in Creating a Patch Installation for each assembly that is referenced in the suite that needs to be patched.
  2. Rebuild each assembly project as an assembly. Be sure that the Include Product File property of the Assembly Build Configuration is set to "True."
  3. You can distribute the patched assembly(ies) with a copy of the original Dynamic Suite project, or you can also use the original Dynamic Suite project.
  4. Add the assembly(ies) to the Dynamic Suite.
Note

All of the products on the target machine that require the patched assembly will automatically require the updated version of that assembly.
