Product Selection Dialog

The Product Selection dialog is used in Universal Dynamic Suite installations to do the following:

Display the list of products (built assemblies) that are available for installation.
Enable the end user to select which products to install.
Enable the end user to specify which Installation Type to use to install each product if Installation Types were included in the referenced assembly's project.

The products displayed in this dialog represent the built assemblies that were added to the Universal Dynamic Suite, and are displayed in the order they are listed in the built suite's assemblies directory. For example, below is a Product Selection dialog for a Dynamic Suite that installs two referenced assemblies:

If a linked assembly contains an Installation Type dialog, then the installation types defined in that dialog are displayed next to the product, making them available for selection by the end user.

When the end user clicks Next, this dialog performs two actions for each selected Installation Type:

The features defined in the selected Installation Type are automatically selected for installation. Those that are not defined are automatically unselected.
If an Install Type Sequence exists, then that sequence is linked into the current Sequence at the point determined by the Product Dialog Selection Reference that references this Product Selection dialog (in its Product Dialog property).
If a matching Product Dialog Selection Reference action does not exist in the Dynamic Suite, then all linked Install Type Sequences display immediately after the Product Selection dialog.

After a Product Selection dialog has been added, set its properties as described in Common Dialog Properties.

In the Condenser Sequence

This dialog is automatically included in the Condenser Sequence of the Sequences view in Condenser Dynamic Suite projects. When the project is run in condenser mode, the end user selects the locales and platforms that they want to be included in a condensed, rebuilt suite installation. Then the assemblies referenced by the suite whose root product's Locale and/or Platform property value matches the selections made display in this dialog. This enables the end user to filter out products that they do not want to be included in the newly built, condensed suite installation.
